Bags larger than an A4 piece of paper are not permitted. All bags are subject to a search so please avoid bringing one where you can as this would speed up your entry to the venue.

We advise against bringing valuables to the event, however, if you choose to do so please keep them hidden from view where possible.
Smoke machines, strobe lights, lasers, fireworks and other effects may be in use at this event. Anyone affected by these should bear this in mind.
1 x sealed water bottle is permitted per person max 500ml
If you have a medical condition, then a doctor’s note will permit diet-specific food and drink only.
There are medical and welfare facilities available within the Open Air Theatre. Please ask a member of security to direct you to the facilities if required.
Please call 01723 818111. After the 30 September each season any items not claimed will be disposed of or given to a local charity outlet.
You are permitted to bring required medication into Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the concert and ensure you keep it safe with you at all times.
Umbrellas are not permitted as they obscure the view for others.
Any cameras that are deemed as “Professional” will not be permitted into the arena.

The venue and surrounding areas are covered by CCTV.
Once you leave the venue you will not be allowed back in.

We want Scarborough Open Air Theatre to be an event accessible for all. To ensure we have the correct level of facilities we ask customers to purchase the correct type of accessible ticket on Ticketmaster. The following options will be available:

There is an option to select a companion ticket when you are purchasing an accessible ticket. Once you have selected a companion ticket, there will be an approval process. For the approval process, you will be contacted to provide supporting documentation for validation of your request.
Please check the terms and conditions for companion tickets to see what type of supporting documentation you can provide.
If your request for an essential companion ticket is not approved, the access team can advise on the procedure.
If you have selected a companion ticket, you will be contacted to provide one of the following forms of supporting documentation as evidence to grant a complimentary companion ticket.

An ambulant ticket is for customers who have a medical requirement for an essential companion to attend the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
For a fully seated show, an ambulant customer will be allocated an end of row seat on the floor seating.
For a standing show, an ambulant customer will be allocated a seat on the wheelchair platform.
There are two wheelchair viewing platforms at the OpenAir Theatre. The wheelchair platform is a raised platform located with prime view of the stage.
The wheelchair viewing platforms has a limited capacity and is strictly for access customers plus 1 essential companion. A member of staff is located on each platform to offer any help that may be needed.
The toilets are easily accessible and are located at each end of the venue and close to the platforms.
If you are an accessible customer and require a car parking space, we would recommend parking in the Northstead Lower Car Park
If the Northstead Lower Car Park is full, we recommend parking on Royal Albert Drive. The path from this car park to the theatre is flat which may be more suited to those in a wheelchair. It is approximately 10-15-minute walk to the Open Air Theatre from Royal Albert Drive and may not be suitable for ambulant customers.
The car parking spaces are on a first come, first served basis, therefore it is recommended that you arrive early to ensure a parking space which is suitable for your needs.

Assistant Dogs are permitted on site. If you require to bring a registered assistant dog.

Please note that Scarborough Open Air Theatre accessible facilities cannot cater for people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing injuries and those who are pregnant.
Nippys Taxi : Nippy Taxis operate a fleet of wheelchair access and tail lift vehicles. All drivers have completed an appropriate wheelchair safety course.

If you are driving to a concert there is ample parking in close proximity to the venue
In addition, there are a number of car parks located in the Town Centre within a 15-minute walk to the venue.
REMEMBER PARKING IN ALL COUNCIL CAR PARKS IS FREE AFTER 6pm
Please be considerate and do not park on grass verges, across driveways or where an obstruction may occur.
Traffic arriving from the North along the A165 from Whitby direction will be directed towards Northstead Upper Car Park. On the A165 just after the junction with Cross Lane vehicles will be directed straight on.
Just before the former Burniston Road Car Park vehicles will be directed to take a right turn onto Weydale Avenue.
There will be a sign at the junction with Weydale Avenue directing vehicles to take a right turn onto Weydale Avenue then a left turn onto Ryndle Crescent. This then takes them to Northstead Upper Car Parks.
Any vehicles looking for parking nearer and going straight on ignoring these signs will be directed to take a right turn at the junction of Northstead Manor Drive and a right turn at the junction with Ryndle Crescent. This takes vehicles back to Northstead Upper Car Parks.
There are two Southern approaches one along Columbus Ravine and the other around the Marine and Royal Albert Drive.
Approaching from Columbus Ravine
Vehicles will be directed from the bottom part of Columbus Ravine take the first exit from the roundabout onto Burniston Road. Just after this point vehicles will be directed to take a left turn up Northstead Manor Drive and then a right turn onto Ryndle Crescent taking these vehicles to Northstead Upper Car Parks.
Approaching from Royal Albert Drive
From the Royal Albert Drive vehicle s will be directed to take the second exit from the roundabout on Burniston Road
Just after this point vehicles will be directed to take a left turn up Northstead Manor Drive and then a right turn onto Ryndle Crescent taking these vehicles to Northstead Upper Car Parks.
Official Taxi Ranks are located on Peasholm Gap when leaving the venue from the South Entrance
Local taxi firms involve: Nippy taxi ( 01723 377377) , Beeline Taxi ( 01723 366666) and Boro cars (01723 361111).
Buses to the South Bay and Town Centre also run after the shows from Peasholm Gap.
The nearest train station is Scarborough – YO11 1TN.
As these are private operators there will be a charge for these services.
